ASUS gave you the Transformer Prime TF700T and a frosty injection of Ice Cream Sandwich – what more could you possibly want? 3G on your convertible tablet? Listen, ASUS has needs, too. The company has rebuked reports that such a device would be heading our way in the first quarter of 2012 — or at any point in the foreseeable future — have been greatly exaggerated. According to a statement by the company, “no such product exists on its current roadmap” — and keep in mind, that roadmap navigating comes after a GPS upgrade.
Transformer Prime

I loved my transformer, but my kid broke it.  I waited until the Prime came out and got it first before xmas.  Before the Prime, I was very much Asus fan, but not anymore.  I followed the prime when it first announced.  And when they were experiencing wifi problem I was still with them, they seem to have quickly resolved it with two wifi antenna.  At this time I’m pretty sure Asus was aware of the problems with the Prime.  Weak wifi signal wasn’t the only problem.  The metal back causes every other signal to be weak as well.  The GPS, the blutooth all suffer signal loss because of the design.  They knew this and the only thing they fixed was the wifi because they knew people would be keeping a close eye on it.  Just as expected, all reviewers missed the gps and blutooth testing.  We end up with bad units and Asus isn’t doing anything about it except releasing another model to replace it, supposedly with all the issue’s resolved.  Thanks asus.  I would definitely not buy one and I suggest anyone who wants one to wait it out until it’s been out for a while before deciding.  The prime and ICS still have troubles.  Some of them same troubles as when I got the transformer.  But unlike the transformer, Asus decides to cut it’s losses and piss off the existing prime owners.  They are just going to release a new one to replace it.  Some butthead will say what’s the point of GPS anyway, who uses it on a tablet.  I do, if you don’t then good for you.  I paid 500 bucks for this thing and expect all to work well.
